I believe what you said made a ton of sense. However, think about this, what if you wrote a catchier post title? I ain't saying your content isn't good., but what if you added something that grabbed folk's attention? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they create news titles to grab viewers to click. You might add a video or a related pic or two to get readers interested about everything've written. Just my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
